From the Adjuster's Desk to Your Corner

Founder Ray Land began his journey in 2008, leaving Missouri with his contractor's license to support recovery efforts following the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Tasked with opening a claims office in Key West, Florida for a major adjusting firm, Ray gained critical, real-world experience in large-scale loss environments.

He went on to work as an Independent Adjuster, writing claims for more than 35 insurance carriers, then advanced to Senior File Examiner, training adjusters and reviewing hundreds of claims each week. That role gave him a rare, behind-the-scenes understanding of how carriers evaluate and approve claims, and exactly how documentation must be written to achieve results.

In 2019, Ray partnered with his son Justin to launch MAX4 Claims Specialists, combining insurance-insider expertise with construction knowledge to equip contractors and building owners with the tools, proof, and support they need.

Ray Land has spent almost 20 years in the claims and restoration industry. In 2008, a major adjusting firm tapped him to open a claims office in Key West, Florida, where he helped facilitate recovery for the BP Deepwater Horizon spill, the largest environmental disaster in U.S. history. He went on to serve as a senior file examiner and member of the management team, spending over a decade working directly with multiple insurance carriers as an independent adjuster and commercial large-loss trainer.

Today, Ray is among the country's most experienced large-loss claims negotiators, handling complex cases where commercial damage and commercial recovery intersect. He has written and set carrier guidelines and case standards across numerous restoration claims, and he excels in property damage assessment, industrial and commercial inspections, and forensic-style claim resolution. His reputation is well established across the insurance and restoration sectors.

In 2019, Ray partnered with his son Justin to found MAX4 Claims Specialists, now six years strong. With a background spanning service, finance, and construction, he approaches every client interaction with purpose, integrity, and care.

Ray married his college sweetheart in 1977; they live in Missouri and have three children and eleven grandchildren.

Since co-founding MAX4 in 2019, Justin Land has played a central role in shaping the firm's operational discipline, client service model, and reputation for reliability in the construction and development sector. Grounded in hands-on experience as a builder, he brings a practical, field-tested perspective to leadership.

As Chief Operating Officer and Principal, Justin oversees company-wide operations, strategic execution, and client delivery performance. He is responsible for ensuring that MAX4's commitments are not only met, but consistently exceeded across every engagement. His leadership style is defined by structure, accountability, and precision, reinforcing a culture where expectations are clear and outcomes are measurable.

Justin's background in construction and project management informs a straightforward, results-driven approach to problem-solving and outcome execution. He has helped position MAX4 as a trusted advisor to contractors, building owners and developers by emphasizing transparency, operational rigor, and long-term client success.

He lives in Tennessee with his wife and their four sons, where life is equal parts family, hard work, and adventure.

As Business Development Executive at MAX4 and motivational speaker, Clay serves as a strategic resource for contractors, property owners, and industry partners. By connecting clients with the right expertise, technology, and solutions from the very beginning, he helps streamline the claims process, strengthen communication, and create a clear path toward maximum recovery. His focus is simple: ensuring every client receives the guidance, resources, and advocacy necessary to achieve the best possible outcome.
